Sara Schaefer

In 2004 and 2005, Sara hosted, wrote, and co-produced her critically acclaimed show "Sara Schaefer is Obsessed With You," a late night talk show celebrating personal and cultural obsessions, delivered from the partitions of a cubicle. Her guests included celebrities, emerging musical artists, and office coworkers. Each show also featured an actor who played a role on the ubiquitous Law & Order series (whether the role was a dead body or a recurring character), complete with video clips and star-treatment interviews. In 2004, Sara won an Emerging Comics of New York Award for Best Host of a Variety Show. Kara Lee Burk, Daniel McCoy, Amanda Melson, and Patrick Stubbins co-wrote the show with Sara, and Erik Marcisak directed and co-produced. Joe Guercio was the show's Technical Director.

Hi, my name is Sara Schaefer.

I had my up-comings in Richmond, VA.

I got my learnings at William & Mary.

For the hell of it, I lived in New Orleans for a year, and dabbled in arts theatric.

Then I moved to New York City and started writing, producing, and performing comedy.

To keep myself fed and properly miserable, I worked as a financial analyst at a securities fraud law firm for over four years.

Currently, I'm the Head Blogger/Researcher for Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Before that I was an editor over at www.bestweekever.tv. I also produce little videos. For a while I was hosting AOL / Spinner's on-line show, where I got to interview tons of cool musicians and travel a bit. My solo show "Sara Schaefer's One Sara Show" will be playing somewhere again at some point, I hope.
