Eddie Money rules.

I normally don't write about upcoming segments for my show, The DL, because
(1) there have been many times that what I thought was an amazing shoot turns
out to look like ass as the finished product (AOL is a giant fuck-it-up corp, after
all) and (2) I'm not a tease.

Buuuuuuttttt, today is an exception. Eddie Money came in to make a lip syncing
video with us.

It was awesome. He had that weathered, "I survived 80's pop music" feel about him - with a dash of Rodney Dangerfield on top. And his dance moves were hilarious and pure. I mean, this guy is top notch. His daughter was with him who is starting her own music career. They were sort of a more laid back, much less frightening version of Hulk and Brooke Hogan.

And sans assless, thighless jeans. Thank god for that.

Anyway, Eddie bursts in the room this morning and says "Hey kids, Eddie Money here!" Man, he was giving it his all. I love meeting someone like that , someone who's just rolling with life. I didn't get even a wiff of uptight. Such a pleasant change from the usual half-dead indie rockers that roll through here sometimes [NOT NAMING NAMES!].

So...stay tuned.
