Shark Week is over.

I know it's hard to accept, but it's over. And if you're as depressed about that as
I am, I hate to have to break even sadder news. The sun has come out and dried
up all that Chocolate Rain. It was fun, but I feel it's time to move on. When my
friend Sean sent me his video for Nilla Hail, my head almost exploded and I
knew it was time to stop.

I'm looking for something new to be obsessed with, but in the meantime, I'm reminded
of those weeks in the summer growing up, where USA or whatever channels would
do their own versions of Shark Week, showing as many shark related movies as
possible. This clip from Shark Attack 3 is SO awesome:

I'm also reminded of Insect Week, when they'd show insect attack movies for an entire week. The one that I always remember freaking me out the most was Ants, a made for TV movie starring Suzanne Somers and Brian Dennehy. I can't find a clip of it, but if my hunch is right, it would be hilariously bad if I watched it today.

This clip from "The Swarm" is beyond amazing:

(Not sure what that whole music thing edited in at the end is all about.)
