Bring Joe Back.
It's a long story, but Joe Jackson's people commissioned me to make a fun video
for his new album, "Rain." My original idea involved a Field of Dreams themed music
video with a baseball team doing a big dance number and Joe coming out of a
cornfield...but this is the idea they ultimately agreed upon. Anyway, I'm pleased
to say that the video turned out pretty cute and the album is pretty damn good.
William Shatner was maybe going to make an appearance in this, but it didn't work
out (another long story).
Anyways, enjoy!
P.s. Jon Friedman played the homeless man. I forgot to put him in the credits. And Chris Rozzi is Shakespeare.

Hey Sara:
I recall that the first camera take was stronger and maybe more articulate, but alas, maybe it was filmed out of focus and now it lies on the floor of the virtual digital editing-room! But perhaps could my cameo have been used - nay subverted - to give voice to the "crazed Joe Jackson constituency?" Deep questions to ponder...
Seriously, (and don't be like me - be funny) I truly enjoyed your company and chat on that cool Saturday afternoon in Tompkins Square Park. I'll remember that day for some time.
My best,
John

This is the best Joe Jackson homage I have seen since my best friend's girlfriend puked on Joe Jackson's live DVD.
Best bit has to be the skit about the album that never was - "Mikes Murder". A classic Hollyweird movie gone wrong. But then again, there's always the brilliant movie "Tucker" - another film soundtrack written by JJ.
Also - if you scour the Net, there's also an American Taco Bell TV advert that includes Joe's song "One More Time". Is there no stopping Sara Schafer (and Joe Jackson)?
